Mega Supply Pro is excited to announce our involvement in a new large scale mixed-use building rehabilitation project that delivers convenient and affordable contemporary living spaces to Philadelphians at a fraction of the environmental impact of a traditional new construction. Designed to meet the highest levels of sustainability, The Poplar's 400,000 sq.ft. building was originally built in 1918 and served as a warehouse for Strawbridge & Clothier's Center City Philadelphia flagship store.

Adjacent Philadelphia's trendy Northern Liberties neighborhood, with the expert help of Mega Supply Pro's purchasing department, the project converts the old industrial warehouse to market-rate housing, creative office space and ground floor retail. With mixed-use commercial spaces located along one side of the building, below elevated train tracks.

The Poplar's amenities will include a 10,000 sq.ft. gym, a shared office space that tenants can use to work from home, an audio listening space, a recreational area for children, a dog park, and a rooftop pool with a solar deck and personal cabanas being the cherry on the top.

The Poplar was thoughtfully envisioned by Coscia Moos Architects to highlight the past while paying homage to the urban living trends of tomorrow. Mega Supply Pro is assisting the developers of the project, Post Brothers, in dressing the building in light and bright finishes, strategically envisioned lighting design, and a welcoming color palette all perfectly complementing the building’s industrial warehouse past.

The Poplar, which features 285 studio to 4 bedroom apartments ranging from 600 to 2,730 sq. ft. offers residents an abundance of natural light, high ceilings, big windows and expansive Solmar rooftop terrace full of panoramic city and waterfront views. Our procurement and purchasing experts have just locked in manufacturer-direct deals for supplying building materials, as well as fixtures and finishes, such as ceiling fans, energy-efficient kitchen appliances, laundry equipment, hardwood floors, custom built closets and cabinetry, windows and doors, as well as smart security and access control systems.

Everything needed for the project will be delivered precisely when it's needed on the job site, with no headaches or time wasted. This streamlined consolidated approach is much more effective and cost-saving in comparison to the traditional system where the developer relies on contractors or fragmented network of distributors and other middlemen, each with their own logistical mishaps and out of control markups.


Thanks to Mega Supply Pro, each apartment at The Poplar features energy-saving windows filled with argon gas and heat-blocking Low-E coatings, carbon free heating and cooling systems, 100% energy star appliances, LED light bulbs throughout, as well as water-efficient dishwashers, washing machines, and toilets. Responsibly sourced building materials including locally made cabinetry and Forest Stewardship Council certified hardwood flooring also testify to our commitment to sustainability and community building practices.

And to top it all off, 100% wind generated power used in the building will make it a carbon emission free property.
